Juli Brüning

As a Nutrition Scientist and Performance Nutritionist, I specialize in working with athletes across endurance, team, and mountain sports. My expertise extends beyond individual coaching to include roles as an independent Research Analyst and Speaker for various institutions, brands, and communities. Additionally, I’m part of the Athlete Support team at Precision Fuel & Hydration, where I personalize race nutrition strategies and serve as an official PF&H Sweat Test Partner.

My journey in sports nutrition is grounded in diverse experiences – from sports business and coaching to competing in field hockey and ultra-distance trail running. These experiences, combined with multiple degrees (B.Sc., M.Sc.) in sports and nutrition science, have shaped my holistic approach to athlete nutrition.

Been there, done that, underfueled it. Having personally experienced the consequences of sacrificing health in pursuit of success – including misunderstanding the body’s energy needs, underfueling during training and competition, and striving for an unrealistic „ideal“ athlete body type – I’ve dedicated my career to helping athletes implement effective nutritional strategies. I translate complex science into bite-size practical advice for athletes at all levels, focusing on both daily diet and sports-specific nutrition.

My philosophy centers on the harmony of body and mind for true performance. I strive to protect athletes‘ physical and mental well-being while enabling them to reach their highest potential.
